Oakland Landscaping That Starts With a Walk of Your Yard
We look before we quote. We walk your yard, check the grass, beds, sprinklers and trees, and tell you what we find in plain words. Then we handle the work: lawn care, sod, irrigation, landscape design, hardscapes and tree work for homes in Oakland, Winter Garden and Ocoee.

How a Job Runs With Us
Most jobs follow the same four steps. Small jobs can move through them in a few days.
- 1
You call and we set a time
Tell us what is bothering you about the yard. We set up an on-site walkthrough at a time that works for you.
- 2
We walk the property
We look at the grass, soil, beds, sprinkler zones and trees. We run the irrigation if there is a system and note anything that looks off. You are welcome to walk with us and ask questions.
- 3
You get plain findings and a written quote
We explain what we found, what needs doing now and what can wait. The quote lists each item so you decide what goes ahead.
- 4
We do the work and clean up
The crew protects walks and beds, does the job, and hauls off the debris. We go over the finished work with you before we leave.
Landscaping Services for Your Home
Our company is family-owned, business licensed and fully insured. We cover the regular upkeep a yard asks for year after year: weekly lawn care, mulch and beds, irrigation repair, sod installation, seasonal cleanup and property cleanup. We also take on bigger jobs like landscape design, hardscape installation, tree trimming and removal, palm tree pruning and removal, stump grinding and bamboo removal. Every job starts the same way, with a look at what is actually going on in your yard.

Lawn Care
Regular mowing, edging, feeding and weed control, planned around the grass type, soil and problems we find when we walk your yard.

Landscape Design
A yard plan built from what we find on site: sun, soil, drainage and the plants you already have, laid out so you can install it all at once or in stages.

Mulch and Beds
New mulch, pine straw, edging and bed cleanup, with a look at what's under the old layer before we add anything new.

Irrigation
Sprinkler repair, controller setup, drip lines and new zones, starting with a zone-by-zone test so you see the problem before we quote the fix.

Seasonal Cleanup
Spring and fall cleanups that clear leaf drop, cut back cold-damaged plants and get beds and lawn ready for the next season.

Sod Installation
New grass laid on cleared, graded soil, with the turf type picked for your sun, shade and sprinkler coverage.

Hardscape Installation
Paver patios, walkways, edging and low walls, laid on a compacted base and pitched so rain runs away from your home.

Tree Trimming and Removal
Pruning, deadwood removal and full tree takedowns, starting with a close look at each tree and a plain answer on whether it can be saved.

Palm Tree Pruning and Removal
We trim dead fronds, seed stalks and boots without overcutting, and take down sick or unsafe palms after a close look at the trunk and crown.

Stump Grinding
We grind old tree and palm stumps below the surface, deal with the chips the way you choose, and leave the spot ready for grass, beds or a patio.

Bamboo Removal
We cut the canes, dig out the underground runners and haul it all away, so the bamboo stops coming back through your lawn and beds.

Property Cleanup
A one-time cleanup for overgrown yards. We clear brush, vines, weeds and debris and haul it all off after walking the property with you.
What Moves the Price of a Landscaping Job
We do not post prices because two yards the same size can need very different work. Here is what actually changes the number. We will point to each one when we walk your property.
Your free estimate is written up in person, once we have seen the yard. For larger projects, financing is available up to $100,000 on 2–12-year terms, with no prepayment penalties.
- Size and layout
- Square footage matters, but so does shape. Lots of curved beds, narrow side yards and slopes take longer than an open, flat lawn.
- Access for equipment
- If a stump grinder or sod pallet can reach the backyard through a wide gate, the job goes faster. Tight access means more hand work, and that adds time.
- What is under the surface
- Our sandy soil drains fast and holds few nutrients. Old roots, buried rock, compacted fill or a tangle of bamboo rhizomes can all add prep work before anything new goes in.
- Materials you pick
- Pine straw costs less than rubber mulch. St. Augustine, Zoysia and Bahia sod are priced differently. Pavers, natural stone and concrete curbing each have their own cost.
- Height and risk in tree work
- A small ornamental tree is quick. A tall oak or palm near a roof or power line takes more rigging, more care and sometimes a bigger crew.
- Haul-off and disposal
- Old sod, branches, stumps and broken pavers have to go somewhere. Disposal is listed on its own line so you can see it.
Why Homeowners Call Us
Most people have been oversold at least once. We work the other way around: we find the cause first, show you, and then give you options.
We find the cause first
A brown patch can be chinch bugs, a dead sprinkler head or a shady spot. Each one needs a different fix. We check before we recommend anything, so you do not pay for new sod when a simple nozzle adjustment would have done it.
You see what we see
We take photos of what we find, like a cracked lateral line or a palm with a rotting crown, and walk you through them. If something does not need work yet, we tell you that too.
A family business with proper coverage
We are a family-owned business, and we are business licensed and fully insured. When a crew works near your fence, your roofline or a tall tree, the risk is not sitting on your shoulders.
Quotes you can read
Our written estimates list each part of the job on its own line. Labor, plants, materials and haul-off are all spelled out, so you can trim the scope if you want to.
We leave it clean
We blow off driveways and walks, haul away clippings and debris, and rake out ruts. By the time our truck pulls away, the yard is ready for your family to use again.
Towns We Serve
Oakland, FL is home base, and our trucks cover the towns all around it. Winter Garden, Ocoee, Horizon West, Windermere, Clermont and Minneola are regular stops for us. Homes in Lake Butler, Clarcona, Bay Hill and Pine Hills are on our list as well.

Questions We Hear Most
- Is the estimate really free?
- Yes. We drive out, walk the property with you and hand over a written estimate without charging for it. You are under no obligation to book anything. If you only want our opinion on a problem spot, that is fine too.
- Why is my lawn turning brown in patches?
- In St. Augustine grass, the usual causes are chinch bugs, fungus, a broken or clogged sprinkler head, or too much shade. They look alike from the street. We check the grass blades, the soil moisture and the sprinkler coverage before we say which one it is, because the fix is different for each.
- Do you take care of the whole yard or just one job?
- Both. Some customers call us for a single stump or one tree. Others have us handle weekly lawn care, mulch, irrigation checks and seasonal cleanup. We can start small and add work later if you like how we do things.
- Should I repair my sprinklers or replace the system?
- Most systems can be repaired. A broken head, a cracked pipe or a bad valve is a small fix. If the controller, the zones and the piping are all failing, replacement can make more sense, and we will show you why before we suggest it.
- Can you trim my palms without overcutting them?
- Yes. We remove dead and drooping fronds and seed pods and leave the healthy green fronds in place. Cutting palms down to a few fronds stresses the tree, so we do not do it unless you ask and we have explained the risk.
- Can I pay for a big project over time?
- Yes. Financing is available up to $100,000. You pick a term in the 2–12-year range, and there are no prepayment penalties if you want to clear the balance sooner. Homeowners often use it for hardscape installation, full sod replacement or a new landscape design, and we can go over it when we hand you your estimate.
- Do I need to be home for the walkthrough?
- It helps, but it is not required. If you can be there, walk with us and point out what bothers you, and we will answer questions on the spot. If you cannot, leave a side gate open and we will walk the yard, take photos and go over the findings with you by phone.

The Crew That Looks First
Landscaping Oakland works on homes across west Orange County and nearby Lake County. We do the work ourselves, and we would rather lose a sale than sell you something your yard does not need.
Florida yards wear out in their own ways. Summer rain feeds weeds and fungus, chinch bugs go after St. Augustine in the heat, and a mild winter freeze can knock back tender plants. We have seen a lot of it, and we keep our answers simple: here is what is wrong, here is what fixes it, here is what it costs.
